"The self is so self-confident that unless it is totally discouraged it will not give up. Mere verbal conviction is not enough. Hard facts alone can show the absolute nothingness of the self-image."
—Nisargadatta Maharaj
"True spirituality is real, down to earth, concrete—it's coming home from appearance to reality."
—Douglas E. Harding

The ego is like one's shadow thrown on the ground. If one attempts
to bury it, it will be foolish. The Self is only one. If limited, it is

there is no mind. When you abide in Self, mind is nowhere. Therefore to
be concerned about that which is only a thought is totally pointless.

What
We Really, Really Want
Jeff Foster
You
cannot have what you want, ever. It is the wanting itself which
destroys the possibility of ever having what you want, for the wanting
is the very lack that you are trying to overcome. Wanting is lacking.
You try to use the wanting mechanism to put an end to lack, but any
relief is only temporary, and the lack soon returns, which feeds the
wanting. It's a vicious circle. Read
